Harris welcomes two new recruits

The past 18 months have been a turbulent year for everyone – but it’s by no means been all bad news. From our management buy-out earlier this year to celebrating our 35^th anniversary, we’re pleased to have been able to share some positivity this year.

And what’s better than sharing the news that we’ve recruited two new Harris team members in recent months?

Lucy Philips joined us in July as a designer. After completing a graphic design apprenticeship, Lucy worked in a multimedia role which saw her develop skills not only in design but also across a range of disciplines including web, photography, videography and animation. Now, Lucy is ready to focus on graphic design at Harris and is looking forward to working on projects for different clients.

Speaking about her first few weeks at Harris, Lucy said: “I’m really enjoying my time at Harris and every day is different: from clients, to seeing different people in the office every day, to working on various types of design. The people are what makes Harris so enjoyable. Everyone gets along and has fun, while working collaboratively to get the job done. It also helps that we have a really nice office next to the Leeds docks!

“I’m looking forward to getting involved in more projects, and achieving creative marketing solutions through design for a variety of clients.”

We also welcomed Katie Dunn to the Harris team this April as our accountant, following the retirement of our long-term accountant, Stewart Hey. With a degree in Business and Finance and almost two decades of experience within similar roles, Katie is the ideal person for helping to manage our finances.

Commenting on her role at Harris, Katie said: “I’ve worked in similar roles for more than 18 years but I’m always looking for ways to improve my skills and offer more for my clients, which is why I’m currently studying for further accountancy qualifications.

“The best thing about Harris is the people, without a doubt. Everyone is so helpful and friendly which makes coming to work here a pleasure.”
