In a year that’s delivered more crushing blows than Mike Tyson in his prime, we’ve managed to find a little solace in some outstanding achievements from our talented team!
We kicked off our 30th year with a brand spanking new website, and since debuting our new look, we’ve seen average session durations increase by over 50% and our bounce rate reduce by over 25%.
It wasn’t just our web stats that were soaring, as in September Guy and Karla climbed Mount Snowdon! The PR and social media duo joined our client Howarth Timber to climb Wales’ highest mountain, raising well over their £500 target for Howarth’s charity partner Caudwell Children.
The physical activities didn’t stop there for Guy, as in October he teamed up with Ruth, Andy and Caz to run the Asda Foundation Sheffield 10K. The Harris foursome all completed the race in under an hour and raised a sizeable sum in support of our client Novus Property Solutions’ Changing Lives campaign, with proceeds going to a local Salvation Army project.
In November, we were excited to discover that we’d been shortlisted in two categories at the CIPR’s Yorkshire and Lincolnshire awards, and were even more delighted when we won gold for Best Use of Social Media! Our successful ‘Build Your Career with Us!’ campaign for Novus saw us fight off competition from both regional and national agencies to scoop the award.
The CIPR award trophy didn’t have to sit alone for long as just two weeks later we won two of the three awards we were shortlisted for at the Construction Marketing Awards. We scooped Best Use of Website for the digital team’s’ work on Arbordeck’s slick new website, and Best Use of Events and Live Marketing following the entire team’s’ efforts on Howarth Timber’s successful 175 Trade Day Bonanza.
A big thank you to everyone who has supported us – have yourself a very merry Christmas and a happy new year! We’ll see you in 2017.
