Snapchat has already granted us the ability to throw up rainbows, scare the hell out of ourselves and even look adorable whilst crying with the ‘lenses’ feature.
Now, Snapchat has given us even more power on how our social network sees what we see. With its latest update, users can now control the speed of a snapchat and it is SO FUN.
There are three different ‘speed modifiers’: slow motion, fast forward, and reverse.
I’d explain what each feature does here, but I think you can figure that out! Needless to say, though, that there’s plenty of creativity to be had.
Here are some of my favourite snaps for each update.
Of course, I’m going to have the time of my life making fast forward videos with my roommates, but I am also excited to see how brands will utilise the new feature to their advantage – specifically brands such as Red Bull, Starbucks and Adidas who already boast a strong Instagram presence. As always, I will keep my eyes peeled and report back. Happy snapping.
* Finally, a special thank you to a few of the Yorkshire Carnegie rugby players for the reverse lens features! Can’t thank you enough. Good luck in your season.
