Harris highlights – part 1

Blog

It’s been another fantastic year for Harris – one of our busiest ever, in fact – so we felt the best way to highlight some of our achievements was to ask each member of the team to reflect on what stood out most for them.

Up first we have Guy, Faye, Caroline and Neil.

This year has been one of the busiest, most varied and rewarding years of my working life, but one project stands above all others.

Joining Novus Property Solutions on its trip to Cape Town, South Africa to refurbish the Busy Bees Nursery was not only a fulfilling work experience, but it had a huge impact on me personally as well.

Seeing the sheer unbridled joy on the children’s faces as their nursery was transformed around them will live with me for a long time.

You can read my blog for more details or watch the film below.

My favourite project of 2015 was the press launch of Senior Architectural Systems’ new PURe range of windows and doors.

Throughout the year, the launch involved product placement opportunities in trade magazines, in-depth technical advisory articles aimed at specifiers, as well as details of new contract wins and project completions. I have been involved with product launches in the past, but for this particular product launch I worked closely with the rest of the Harris team. Everything from PR, design, advertising and photography was involved in helping launch the range. It was a real team effort!

My involvement with the design and build of the new Washroom Washroom website was my favourite project of 2015.

We are fortunate to have a fantastic library of project photography for Washroom Washroom so it was vital to create a simple site structure that would best showcase these images.

Creating a website with a strong focus on imagery gave the project an exciting twist and one I felt allowed me to bring my creativity to the fore. I’m looking forward to undertaking more work like this in 2016!

The celebrations to mark the 175th anniversary of our long-standing client, Howarth Timber, culminated in one of the largest single projects we have ever taken on – the Howarth 175 Trade Day Bonanza.

Throughout 2015, we have been co-ordinating events at Howarth Timber’s 29 branches around the country, to share the landmark festivities with the company’s staff, suppliers, and customers.

On November 13th we gave the campaign a climactic extravaganza at Leeds United’s Elland Road Stadium Pavilion. The event used our full range of services, including design, photography, PR, social media, and even guerrilla marketing, and we attracted over 1,000 visitors to what was a hugely successful event.
